Former Houston Hurricanes Flag Football co-founder and player, Dawson, has joined the Houston Cougars football staff as the team's tight ends coach. Dawson, who played for the Hurricanes from 1976 to 1982, brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to the Cougars' coaching staff.

After his playing career, Dawson transitioned to coaching, where he spent several years as the Hurricanes' head coach. Under his leadership, the Hurricanes won multiple championships and established themselves as one of the top flag football teams in the country.
