A gripping legal thriller, "Presumed Innocent," is set to return to television screens with a new series based on the best-selling novel by Scott Turow.
The original 1990 film adaptation, directed by Alan J. Pakula, starred Harrison Ford, Brian Dennehy, Raul Julia, and Bonnie Bedelia. The new series, created by David E. Kelley, features a talented cast including Jake Gyllenhaal, Ruth Negga, Bill Camp, and O-T Fagbenle.
The story follows Rusty Sabich (Gyllenhaal), a Chicago prosecutor accused of murdering Carolyn Polhemus (Negga), his colleague and former lover. As Rusty fights to prove his innocence, he uncovers a web of secrets and corruption that shakes his faith in the justice system.
