Saint Paul, Minn. - After making history in Tokyo as the first Hmong-American Olympian and the first Asian-American woman to win the Olympic all-around, Suni Lee is setting her sights on defending her title in Paris in 2024.
Lee came out of the blocks strong on Sunday, June 30, the final day of competition at the US Olympic Team Trials for gymnastics, soaring to a first-place finish in the all-around competition.
The 21-year-old has since competed twice in the 2024 season, first at the Winter Cup in Louisville, Kentucky, where she placed second in the all-around, and then at the American Cup in Greensboro, North Carolina, where she placed first.
Lee's success is a testament to her hard work and dedication, as well as the support of her family and coaches. She is a role model for young athletes everywhere, and her story is an inspiration to all.
